Founding partners, Kirstin and Julie, have combined their complementary strengths to create a business that adds exceptional benefit to changing organisations.

Drawing on the talents and energies of our close network of associates we pay careful attention to how we resource client projects, listening fully to your needs.

Julie Allan (above, right) is an organisational consultant and coach. Taking a whole-system approach she works skilfully and with a quiet passion to develop individuals and organisations. Clients say her ability to enable real and meaningful shift can be breathtaking. With a prior career in journalism and publishing, Julie brings first-hand experience of working in time-pressured, quality-oriented and creative environments. An author of books on organisational development and coaching, Julie is currently researching corporate wisdom. A certified supervisor of coaches and consultants, and an APECS accredited executive coach, Julie leads our coaching and supervision practice.

Kirstin Irving (above, left) is an organisational consultant, trainer and facilitator. With a research background, she has more than 15 years consulting experience working with leaders, project teams and internal HR and OD consultants to enable successful organisational change. Valued by clients for her pragmatism, enthusiasm and analytical skill, she thrives in challenging environments. Kirstin leads our Managed Change™ practice.

Pat Beatson is a dedicated people developer and highly skilled change agent. Having spent much of her career as an internal training and OD consultant in the automotive industry, her most recent internal post was as Head of Training and Development for one of the UK’s police constabularies. Pat’s attention to the intricacies of organisational life and her boundless energy enable her to work effectively with clients to survive and thrive during challenging times. She speaks French and German.

Andrew Day is an organisational consultant and coach. With many years experience working as an internal consultant in the automotive industry he now works with Ashridge Consulting and is a Faculty member for the Ashridge Masters in Executive Coaching. Part of his time is spent in independent practice. Andrew specialises in working with senior managers to develop their leadership capability and has a strong interest in developing cross-boundary working and collaboration in and between organisations.

Karen Ellis is an executive coach, facilitator and organisation consultant. With an early career in management consultancy with two of the Big 5 she has spent most of her career in independent practice. Her experience includes senior level work in the public sector, central government and the professional services sector. With a science background and training in organisational systems and human behaviour she is particularly skilled at working with complicated or complex change. She brings clear thinking and a serious sense of play to her work.

Jake Farr is an organisational consultant, facilitator and coach. With an early career as an in-house consultant with the Post Office, she has been in independent practice since 2000. Her leadership development, OD and coaching work spans the public and private sectors. Appreciated by clients for her lively, challenging and creative style, she has recently developed an innovative approach to personal and team development, bringing psychology and music-making together in a professional recording environment.

Sarah Goldsworthy is an organisational consultant and coach. With first-hand experience of managing multi-million pound budgets and large diverse staff groups she works with 'ruthless compassion' to enable people to realise their potential in challenging contexts. She is particularly recognised for her work in complex and conflicted situations. Certified as a Supervisor of Coaches, Mentors and Consultants she works in Scotland and throughout the UK.

Sally Gritten is an executive coach. With marketing and managing director roles in publishing she brings 25 years of business and line management experience to her work. She has an MBA, an MA in Counselling and is currently pursuing her PhD in coaching. Working effectively with individual leaders and leadership teams she combines her interests in personal construct, person-centred coaching and neuroscience to enable real and lasting change.

Kate Horne is an executive coach and facilitator to teams and organisations, specialising in change and transition. She has particular experience in developing and facilitating action learning groups for senior leaders, to accelerate learning and raise performance. In the past she has worked with Oxfam, managing staff training, then heading development and humanitarian aid programmes in Burundi, Angola and Mozambique. As a coach and facilitator she has worked across sectors developing leaders and teams, with a particular focus on strategic planning, organisational culture change, working with diverse cultures, and conflict resultion. Clients know her as empowering, confidence building, action and results oriented. Kate is fluent in French and Portuguese.

Nick Kambitsis works as a facilitator and coach to enable performance in leaders and senior teams. Formerly a General Practitioner and a GP tutor, Nick subsequently undertook a Masters in Organisational Behaviour and joined an occupational psychology consultancy where he specialised in leadership development. With experience across sectors including banking, pharma and media, Nick is appreciated for his ability to help people keep a clear head in complex situations and times of personal challenge.

Jonathan Males supports our work through his experience in leadership development and as an executive coach. He represented Australia at four World Canoeing Championships and subsequently has coached Olympic medal winners on the Australian and British teams. He combines his sporting and psychological acumen with wide-ranging organisational experience to enable others to engage with their full potential. Appreciated by clients for his willingness and ability to 'say the unsayable', he quickly gets to the heart of a topic and enables individuals and teams to productively confront, explore and re-frame the issues that hold them back.

Lizzie Pawsey is a trained executive coach who has previously held HR and senior strategic and marketing roles with a number of FTSE 250 FMCG companies. Her business background and results focused style enable her to support and challenge clients, who are usually senior managers, to reach their full potential. As a coach she has worked in sectors including transport, financial and professional services, as well as FMCG, assisting executives with issues including stakeholder relationships, leadership style and career transition. One of her interests is in working with women executives on the challenges they face in business.

Julian Simcox is an organisation consultant, facilitator and coach specialising in overall system improvement. With an operational and managerial leadership background in retail and manufacturing he moved to independent practice in 1994. His portfolio covers public and private sector clients where systemic innovation and improvement are needed.
Julian is co-designer of BaseLine© which helps people use their spreadsheet data to view systemic change over time. He is also a published author on topics including Total Quality, Lean & Six Sigma, Evolutionary Organisational Development, and the integration of Management and Leadership.
